Conveyor Tail End Fixed Walkway
Working across structural engineering, shop detailing and fabrication, our interconnected teams were are able to bring a solution to life.
CADDS designed, engineered, detailed and fabricated a fixed walkway for the tail end of conveyor C202 at Cape Lambert. The existing walkway was too low for maintenance workers, so we re-designed the structure to allow a more suitable height above ground.
We also spent some time engineering the design to suit multiple locations across the site, reducing the need for costly bespoke solutions in each location. The standardised design meant that many parts were fabricated in bulk, which drastically reduced lead times for a fixed shut install.
